Back to the Bump with Charting ?

Hey all,

 I'm re-introducing myself because I haven't been on here in awhile and don't recognize most of the names (so likely most of you don't recognize me!! :). I'm 25, TTC #1, was TTC for about 2 months and was semi-active on here for a few months last spring until I decided to stop and wait a few more months to get pregnant. We started trying again this cycle and I just started charting 3 days ago! I'm due for AF in the next few days so I obviously started charting at the wrong time of my cycle but I just wanted to get my feet wet. 

 Since I'm so new to charting, I have a question. What does a "good" chart look like? I've seen lots of comments like "My chart is crazy/ugly" or "your chart looks great - good luck!" What makes a chart good/bad?

    Are you using fertility friend?  People look for consistent temps and a clear thermal shift.  This chart is not mine but from the FF chart gallery.

    Yup, using Fertility Friend. Not gonna post it until I get AF and start the cycle over.

    So basically you know you've ovulated if your temps start increasing somewhat dramatically? (as well as EWCM). Then you look for this to happen at about the same time each cycle? And if you have gotten pregnant, your temps will stay kinda high and if not they'll start dipping back down?

    That's all right.  Don't get to upset if your not sure what EWCM looks like or creamy etc.  Just try your best.  I got really frustrated with mine a few monts ago and the month I stopped charting I found out was KU.  But that was not my sticky baby:( but all is good now and I am waitng for AF again to start charting again. 

    A great book is `Taking Charge of Your Fertility` even if you don`t chart it helps describe what is happing to you body through out your cycle and it will help you idenfiy all the CMs.

    RUN and go get "Taking Charge of Your Fertility"!  It was very eye-opening and I hadn't realized I was so uninformed about my own body.
