So when it was new, I Googled my name. For a Jennifer, I had a very unique last name and was surprised to see the search results of three women with "my name." There was me, of course, a lady in Michigan and a lady in NYC.
With the onset of FaceBook, I searched the name again! I found them both! One was her maiden name, like myself. It was interesting to find that we had the same nicknames, too! The other had married into the name. We look similar to each other...that is more eerie than sharing nicknames!
Well, I also connected to other people with my last name. I had fully intended to see if we were related, as I had wanted to start work on the family tree prior to TTC. That never happened.![]()
Anyway, one of the ladies that I found as a result to these searches, a cousin of the lady with my name, had reached out to me one day on FB. I had posted something inspirational that had to do with getting through rough times. She took the time to ask about it and we spent the evening talking back and forth about he troubles and mine. She reached out again "out of the blue" to ask how I have been doing. We talked again at length about issues I have been dealing with...the depression I had posted about a week or so ago.
She said she would be my sounding board and I could talk with her about anything! She has been so amazing and after our talks I do feel better. She said she will set aside as much time as I need, as often and we can touch base, so that even on the good days we can talk.
I feel a little bad about sharing all these thoughts with a previously unknown person. But she is helpful! And insightful...have had a m/c and 4 children. I also like the anonymity of not facing my preacher, or even showing my weakness to a friend.
Thank you ladies for your concern the other day. You are once again wonderful! It's amazing where angels appear!
Re: finding someone to talk to...f/u (long)
Wow, that is so nice that she takes her time out to listen and talk. I'm glad you found someone you can talk to. Hopefully it will make things a little easier.
