DS2 is about to turn 1 and drinks well out of the Nuby 2 handled straw cup. I was considering getting more but was thinking I should check with you guys and see what you liked for a young toddler that didn't leak when in a bag.
That's the one that I'm planning on using until at least 1.5 or 2yo. I like the fact that it has a thing to cover the straw when not drinking. After that, I like the take and toss. I hate cleaning the valve and if I don't for two or three use, it gets all black and nasty.
The Munchkin flip tops always worked best for us. The Nuby ones always leaked for some reason, and the kids would chew the heck out of that rubber straw.
I love the Playtex ones. I hate the Munchkin ones--I could never get the straws back in after taking them out to wash (maybe I'm just dumb), and they are HARD to get the water out for the LO's IMO.
just be aware that I have yet to find a straw cup that does not leak if the liquid in it is cold and it is sitting out for more than 30 seconds. The change in temperature/pressure causes the liquid to come up the spout. It is so annoying that I will only put room temp water in a straw cup now. Everything else goes in the tommee tippee sippy with the oldest age rating.

DD loves the Munchkin brand straw sippy cups
ETA: The ones w/o the flip top, just the plain straw cup
Jackson and Reese both really like the Playtex Insulated Twist and Click Straw Cups.
