Can anyone give me some ideas for some crafts/art projects for an 18 month old? I feel like all she does is finger paint (I also do have crayons and playdoh) but I need some other ideas.
I cut out shapes and have DD glue them onto paper. She'll also glue little pom poms, bunched up pieces of tissue paper, strings of yarn, etc. to construction paper. I tried cutting the colored paper into different shapes and having her "match" the shapes by gluing them on top of one another. It is so cute how she stacked them! They were not AT ALL matched but it was still cute.
She also likes stamps. Another alternative to finger paint is to add food coloring to shaving cream and letting her finger paint with that. When it dries, it's 3-d, almost like puffy paint but more puffy.
DS does crafts mostly at daycare but he does lots of glued on shapes cut from scrap or construction paper. One of his pieces of artwork the other day was a collage of animals cut out from magazines - I loved this! He loves animals - I bet he had a blast picking different ones out to glue on.

I love making things with her handprints and footprints. Last week she made the ghost and spider from this website: https://www.dltk-kids.com/type/handprint.htm
