We are starting training on Nov 3rd!
We are adopting through the foster care system in our state. We do not even have our app in yet.
But, my neighbor works for The Dept Of Children services and said she could get us in to the training. If we did not do it then, they would would have to wait 4 months to do the training in our town. We could go elsewhere, but we would have to travel pretty far.
She is getting us the app this week, and if our apps are in before Nov 3rd, then we will start training on nov 3rd!
It is like a huge weight lifted off my shoulders

I know that's a big step- and that those classes can be hard to fit into your schedule. Glad that you are able to get in!

DH and I have just finished this process and have jumped in with both feet. We wanted to try and get siblings that they want to keep together.
We have a set of 3, ages 2, 4, 6 that we are transitioning to our care! What an eye opening experience!
