NBR: Banana question

I bought a bunch of bananas last Monday at Sam's. I chose the greenest ones b/c I was buying lots of other fruit and wanted plenty of time to eat it all.

Fast forward to this week - they're still green! Do you think something is wrong with them? Are they ever going to turn yellow? 

I don't like to eat bananas when they're green, I like them when they're nice and yellow, starting to have some spots. Thoughts??

    If it's not too out of your way, I'd take them back to Sam's for a new batch of bananas. If they haven't turned by now, they were picked too soon and are not going to turn.

     I have taken bananas back to Costco before for this very reason....they did not have a problem with it at all.

    You could try putting them in a brown paper bag with an apple for a day or 2 if you wanted, but I'm thinking they are probably just way too green!

    We could trade...I LOVE when bananas are still kinda green, and HATE when they're ripe. LOL. Really, though, the brown paper bag idea is supposed to work. I have problems with mine ripening TOO fast. I get them when they're green and 3 days later, they've got spots everywhere!
