I posted my invite on 9-12 because that's definitely a board full of 1st bday talk, but I need to share with you ladies! (also posted on blog so ignore if you read that)
here's the invite i created during Sabrina's latest PoopGate:

it's not the final (for example changing Ms. to Miss & changing the poem a bit) but darn close.
Not doing a theme because I just don't have the time, patience, or money. And besides that, what does Sabrina like enough to theme? her stuffed animals? Her bedroom mirror? That'd be kind of a weird theme! ;D
the invite list is rather large, sadly. I hate big parties but we just don't have a choice because our families are large and so many of them haven't even met her yet! so we've got like 60 and are guessing a minimum of 50 will attend. OY!
we're having a pizza party at a pizza joint for a couple of hours (cheapest and easiest way to go, we believe, since can't hold that many in our home). it'll be NYD at like 2PM, hopefully giving people enough time to sober up. ![]()
most of the $$ goes to the pizza joint insanely enough (i dont get why they have to charge so much per person for pizza and pop- grr) so i'm really trying to curb any other costs- another good reason for not doing a theme. i plan to get the cake from Costco- and print the invites there, too.
so... lovely or lame?
i can handle it.
Re: So can I talk 1st Birthday party here? PIP
Love it! Great poem!! I think doing pizza and cake is absolutely perfect.
That's perfectly fine.. and I know I'd rather have parties outside of our house so I don't have to do any cleaning!
Do you have an RSVP date and number on there? Can't tell by the pic. That's hugely important, IMO.
That sounds like a good plan to me. Just make sure the pizza place is ok with you brining a cake from some place else. Some food establishments won't allow things from the outside in case someone gets sick they don't want to be liable for something that isn't theirs.
But I don't know anyone who got food poisoning from cake, maybe a sugar high, but not food poisoning.
Yup, gotta scroll ot the right to get full image- sorry so big

Lovely! We had way too many people in our tiny place so having it at a pizza place is an awesome idea.
And Sabrina's the theme
My Blog

I love the pizza joint idea (heck- I had my baby shower at a pizza joint). No muss, no fuss, just pack up the gifts and go home.
BTW I'm loving Sabrina's new picture!
Oh, I love it! It sounds like a really fun day.
Well done!
You are on the ball!

I LOVE it!! It's just awesome! And pizza and cake sounds like fun to me, laid-back and relaxed.
Can this imagination-challenged mommy steal your poem?!? I've been busting my a$$ trying to come up with something half creative, and yours is perfect
Cute! You make me feel behind. The only thing I have planned for T's Birthday is the cake. Her sitter is making her a Ladybug cake.
the pizza joints we're looking at both accept store-made cakes (Nothing homemade).
sure, the poem can be stolen.
but i'm actually changing it a tad:
A year has gone by?
incredible how it?s flown.
It?s so amazing to reflect
on how Sabrina has grown!
She?s such a joy?
and oh so much fun.
Still, it?s hard to believe that
Sabrina?s turning ONE!
