I'm curious what your OB or chiro has said about having vaginal childbirth---or better yet, if you are on baby #2 + did you have any issues delivering vaginally? (ie: did the baby drop and move in to position)?
I have a very inward curve that was many times confused for a mild scoliosis but I think it's called lordosis. And with DS I never progressed on my own--and now in doing some reading I'm wondering if the curve stopped him from doing so. I ended up with a c-section because he went in to distress after getting the cord wrapped around his neck--so never actually got to even attempt vaginal--but I'm trying to consider VBAC and not even sure I can at this point.
Would love to hear experiences.

Re: Anyone with Lordosis or scoliosis type of back issues?
I have scoliosis but none of my drs have expressed a concern. Mine isn?t horrible it just causes me a lot of discomfort.

I have scoliosis, as well, and a Harrington Rod. This is my first, so I dont have any advice except one thing.
I had a friend who had a slight curve and the anesthesiologist, who was unaware of her curve, punctured her spine and leaked fluid when he gave her the epidural. She suffered with migraines for several weeks after the birth.
So I let my Doc know about it, and to be sure he lets the anesthesiologist know that, as a precaution.
No curvatures to speak of but I had to chime in about the term lordosis.
In animal research/behavior lordosis is the position the female rat takes during sex.
It refers to a curvature of the spine, but when it comes up in medical conversation it always makes me snicker and think of rat sex.
