Third times a charm?

I just found out last night that we are pregnant.  I am surprised at my shock/fear/anxiety/disappointment.  I don't even know how to describe my feelings accurately, but all those fears and worries are flooding my mind.  I went straight to the doctor this morning so they could start the baseline testing and just going back there sent me into an anxiety attack because I could not help but remember how I felt the last few times I saw the ultrasound with bad news. 

Instead of being excited about the prospect of having a healthy baby, I am cautious about getting excited because I want to save myself from disappointment later if we miscarry again.   And I can't help but to think about how horrible it would be to go through all of that again.

Any thoughts on how long this will last?

    I would put a BFP disclaimer on your post!!

    Congrats though! I have no insight but hope that this is your take home baby!

    Forever....or until you have a healthy baby.  I'm still waiting for the feeling to go away and another baby is out of the question for me so I'm just guessing.

    Let's see - I have no clue who you are, but hey I'll try to answer your question.  I got what I hoped was my "third times a charm" a few days ago.  And just found out today I'm having miscarriage # 3 - so I guess umm... never for me - the worry will never go away.  So run along to first tri where you can maybe post a few dozen times and get to know some people.
