DD started sleeping through the night when she was 2 months old. About two weeks ago she started teething and had a couple of horrible nights. We thought it was over because we can see two teeth but apparently something else is going on.
She's stopped STTN. She now cries every 1.5 to 2 hours and we have to pick her up. She's not actually awake though, she's crying in her sleep.
We thought it could be some digestive problem so we tried Mylicon and it helped on Tuesday night. However, it didn't help at all last night.
Any ideas about what to do? I'll try anything!
Re: Any ideas about how to make DD STTN again?
How long does she cry? Evan will cry a bit, but we don't go to his room unless it has been 15 minutes. We watch the video monitor to make sure nothing is wrong. The other night he just couldn't get comfortable and it turns out his room was too cool for him. Have you checked to see if her hands and feet are cold?
Also, we noticed that Evan started sleeping much better once we let him sleep with a stuffed animal. He has an elephant and he loves to rub on his ears. Our pedi suggested introducing a lovey around this time to help with separation anxiety.
If you are comfortable with letting your DD use a lovey, it may help.
Good luck and I hope you are all getting more sleep very soon.

We let her cry about 5 minutes. We haven't been fans of CIO, but we may try to let her cry longer and see whether that helps.
She does have a stuffed bear that she likes to have when she's sleeping.
I'll check the room temperature tonight.
Thanks!
Our DD also started STTN around 8 weeks and then around 6 months stopped due to teething. She hasn't gone back. Now, she has gone to about 6 hour stretches but not the 8-10 hours she was doing. We do CIO. Supposedly after a few nights they stop but not our kid. Granted, we rock her to sleep and then put her down. She'll either wake up immediately (and we start CIO) or she wakes after about 30 minutes and we CIO. She only cries for 30-40 minutes and then sleeps for about 5-6 hours before waking, nursing and going back to sleep for a few more hours.
We started with 5 minute intervals to tell her it's sleepy time and give her the paci again, but now we go 10-15 minute intervals. Tonight she cried for 5 minutes, I went in for a few seconds and then she cried for another minute or two before going to sleep. The first night she cried for nearly an hour.
I think we may try introducing the lovely and see if it helps. I miss the 8-10 hour stretches.
How's last night go?
She woke up a couple of times before 2:00 am. DH picked her up and she calmed down after a few minutes.
At 2:00 am she went to sleep again an didn't wake up until 8:40. I think that's an improvement. Let's hope it continues to get better each day.
