Does your uterus hurt when you cough/sneeze?

Hi, I am about 4.5 weeks pregnant.  This is my 2nd time around, so you would think I would know this.  But, I get a soreness or a pulling sensation when I cough or sneeze.  I will call dr tomorrow, but just wondering if I am freaking out.  It is not a pain, almost like a pulled muscle.  Also, I get this when I get up too quickly.  Just wondering if you all are experiencing this. Of course, I read on a website that this could be a sign of an ectopic. Confused

  • Sounds like round ligament pain, it only gets worse!

  • thanks Ladies.  I am going to call the OB tomorrow, and see what they say.  I had pangs and "pings" with DD, but not the soreness. I appreciate your responses!

  • Mine did today.  I sneezed and texted DH that I thought I pulled my ovary.
  • Yep, this happens to me too!  I read on the Bump iphone app that your uterus is getting bigger every day and the muscles and ligaments supporting it are stretching out which can cause pain when you change positions or cough or are particulary active.  It says this pain is normal and will continue as your uterus continues to grow.  So I am sure we are all ok!

  • Sounds like round ligament pain to me, too.  It's not fun.  It's mostly when I sneeze or change position too fast.

IIRC, it started to go away in the second half of my pregnancy with DD.  Only thing is then I started to sniss (pee when I sneezed).  Not much better.
