I know that a lot of people have really shltty in laws but I really love mine. We have definitely had rough patches but I am so thankful to have her in my life. The same goes for my FIL, I feel like he really treats me like I am his daughter. I am lucky because I have a super sh*ttastic real dad so I guess it is only fair that I don't have to suffer with bad in laws too, right?
Does anyone else love their in laws?
Re: Does anyone like their MIL?

I love my in-laws. I never knew people like this existed because my mother is crazy and my father is absent. I don't have any contact with them and they've never met Princess B.
I thank God every day for my awesome new family. I told DH that if we ever get divorced I get to keep his parents!
No. I don't like her and don't even consider her to be my DD's Grandmother. She abandoned my DH when he was 17, with no where to live. She was so horrid to my SIL that the she ended up in foster care. SIL has now lived with us for 5 years (she's 15 now), and her mother almost never makes contact with her. I could go on, but there's only so much I'll air on the internet.
I am jealous of those that have a good relationship with their MILs. I wish we had the same, especially for the sake of my DH and SIL.
I don't dislike her at all. I just do not agree with some of the things they do. We don't live close enough to them to really worry about it though.
Mine lives 2 houses up... with my SIL and her family in the house in between... we call it our compound
Haha, this is kind of freaky (in a cool way). My SIL also lives between the ILs and us. I call it the Ourlastname Commune, lol.

hahaha too weird. I never knew there was one family like this let alone two
I really like my MIL. We get along well and she probably comes over once a week to visit. She was very helpful to me when the girls were born. I trust her with the girls completely. I know she doesnt always agree with things I do but she never says anything to me.
Now my FIL, is a complete douche. DH's parents are divorced so we rarely see him which is perfect. He actually asked us to change our wedding date because he had a trip planned to Hawaii. And he missed the girls 1st birthday paarty because he misplaced their invitation and forgot about it. He cant even tell the girls apart and they dont alike. And lastly my dog is afraid of him and she LOVES everyone.
Yes, I actually really like both my MIL and Step-MIL. They are great moms/grandmothers and have always treated me with love and respect. Of course there are small things that can be annoying but nothing that affects our relationships. I think the worst thing my MIL has ever done was let DD watch way more TV/movies then I normally do when DD stayed with her one weekend. Not ideal but not something worth starting WW3.
Since I have 2 MILs that are both pretty involved in our lives, I know I am super lucky to love them both.

I really, really dislike my MIL and SIL - we don't get along at all.
Now my FIL and step-MIL: I love them more than my own family! I wish my FIL was my dad!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE both my MIL and my FIL. They are such wonderful people and I can't speak enough wonderful things about them. When they come over to stay it is truly a treat. MIL comes and takes care of DD when the babysitter can't. MIL is a typical aries...she's a real fighter and reminds me of my mom. Yes, she has strong opinions, but to be honest, I haven't really ever disagreed with her!
I feel very blessed because my mom has passed and my dad lives across the country. Plus he's remarried and although my stepmom is nice, she doesn't exactly act like a grandma too much with DD, you know? Not anywhere near like my mom would have.
::sniff sniff:: I want to cry now.

Yup! I have amazing ILs. My FIL watches DS for us - free of charge. He will NOT accept payment for watching him. Instead we bought them a brand new washer & dryer - once that's paid off we're going to get them a new stove. Stuff they need but don't have the money for.
MIL is equally awesome. I actually work with her (I'm her assistant) - sit next to her 40+ hours per week. We get along great!!!
Haha, I agree, totally love reading all the in-law vents!
I am so happy that I don't have to deal with that, I get along with my in-laws perfectly
