Do all the Pampers Swaddlers have Dry Max now?

I would like to start stocking diapers and it seems all the Swaddlers have Dry Max now. I am kind of leary about it after hearing about the horrible rashes some of your kiddos got from it.

For those of you who had a baby recently did you use something else instead of Swaddlers that worked well for you? Thanks!

Re: Do all the Pampers Swaddlers have Dry Max now?

  • are you delivering at northside?  the pampers swaddlers i got while in there did NOT have dry max.  so if that's the case, steal as much as you can.

but, all the others in the store do.  we used huggies and i liked them fine.  i also used luvs.  but mostly target.  i was not a big fan of the newborn target diapers but like the size 1 and up a lot.  so, in short, steal from hospital or go with huggies newborn, then target from 1 up. :)

  • A friend just delivered yesterday and I checked out her diapers and they were Swaddlers, but they didn't have the drymax in them. We used Swaddlers until DS couldn't fit in them anymore and switched to Luvs for size 1+. I have been stocking up on size 1+ diapers whenever we're at BJ's (they're 29.99 for a huge box no matter the size) and we'll use those for baby dos whenever we run out of what the hospital gives us.

  • I will say that we also delivered at Northside in June and stole a bunch of the swaddlers :)  I was also SUPER worried about the DryMax, but luckily we've had no issues.  And to throw out a few other diapers we've used.  I've used Luvs, which I like and the BRU diapers.  I'm not a super fan of the Target diapers, but others on this board love them.

  • We have a box of Swaddlers Sensitive w/o DryMax.  I think we got them at BRU a while ago.
  • The ones at northside do not have dry max but we're using the swaddler sensitives which do not have dry max. I've been ordering them off of amazon which if you do their subscribe and save plus sign up for their mom's club it's $25.00 (I think) for a box of 180 size 1 plus free 2 day shipping. It's way easier then trying to go to the store to buy them especially with 2 kids.

  • Check Big Lots.  They had an end cap full of the non-Dry Max ones a few weeks ago.  I'm not seeing them in any of the regular stores though.  I decided not to stock up on Pampers this time b/c of the Dry Max issues.  If people buy them for us, I will try them, but I'm not risking it myself.  I signed up for that Amazon Moms subscribe and save program and have been using the extra 20% off coupon from Parents Magazine.  I've been stocking up on Luvs and Huggies- mostly size 2's b/c that's what we used the longest with Gavin.  But I also just got a $46 box of Huggies size 1's this week for $17!!!  And they delivered it in 2 days- love this program!

  • Thanks for the tips on dipes ladies! I had been checking diapers.com but it sounds like the best sales are through the Amazon Mom thing, which I did join, so I'll check that out!

I also plan to rob Northside of the non-Dry Max Pampers :)

  • Check out Big Lots! They have all different sizes of Pampers without dry max from swaddlers to size 6! I even found sensitive swaddlers w/o dry max there! I am not sure if all Big Lots have them, but I have been to 2 or 3 that do! I can't remember how the prices compare to amazon or other stores, but they definitely aren't more expensive. I think Big Lots is where the good Pampers were sent to die.

ETA- I have only bought the swaddlers and cruisers at BL, I dont know if they have other types or not.

I totally believe this!  There have been a few items that I have loved over the years that have been discontinued- and if I'm quick enough, I can almost always find them at Big Lots and stock up!  My mom uses some sort of cinnamon mouthwash that was discontinued in most stores back in the 90's but we can still find it in stock at Big Lots (and within expiration date!)  I don't get it at all.  I used to be a Big Lots snob, but my mom finally converted me a couple years ago.
