Big Bath Drama

DD has outgrown her sink tub, so we've moved to the big bath. She loves it, but I'm freaking out.  I can't even let go of her before she dives into the water face first.  She ends up sucking in water and choking.  No sooner does she stop choking, she dives in face first again.  If I try to stop her she gets mad at me and thrashs, which makes matters worse.

I'm going to buy one of those bath tub sitter things this weekend.  Anyone else have this problem?  Do they eventually learn their lesson?  I can't even let go of her for long enough to brush her teeth or use the wash cloth.  Stressing me out!

    Yup, we have this problem too.  I am looking for a tub sitter as well....

    I think Georgia is so chubby that her little butt floats up off the bottom of the tub, and he tips over LOL.....not so funny, actually!!

    I have to hold her at all times.  She doesn't mind it....but it makes it hard to wash her or DD#1 (they bath together).

    I need one of those seats too!  Where do you get them?  I just did a search for "bath seat" at BRU and only tubs came up.

    DS refuses to sit in the bath tub and constantly wipes out:(

    You can get the bath seats at Buy Buy Baby, or order them online. I haven't seen them in any other stores.

    If your DD can stand up, she may just stand in the seat tub... that is what Liam does. I just put 1-2 inches of water in the tub and let Liam crawl around.

    could you just put an inch of water in the tub and let her play around/experiment in it? Then add more water to the bath each time and she'll get better.

    Oh and I got a gripper bath mat for the bottom of the tub so that he doesn't slip! :)

    This is the crazy part.  Today, I only put two inches in the tub and she kept going out of her way to drown herself.  She would act like she was going to crawl for a toy and then dive face first into the water.  Ridiculous
