We started DD early because she needed oral surgery at one year old, so I think we started switching at 7 months, and she was all sippy at 8 months.

Our pedi told us to go cold turkey when we do... today was the first time that I offered him milk in the sippy that he drank the whole thing though so I guess maybe today is the day.

I still BF DD but we tried to go to sippy at 4 months but DD doesn't like it so we use soft straws. The straws have been going great!

As he self-weans, which he's already begun to, I am dropping the bottles. He's still not super keen on solids so I'm not doing anything too drastic for him. Since our #2 is due right around his first birthday, I'll let him have his nighttime and naptime bottles until somewhere around 15 months.
