My mother is purchasing my glider and I have been researching and reading reviews. I really like the Newco Serenity Classic Non Swivel Glider - Chocolate Chenille at BRU but some of the reviews have me guessing.
What do you have or recommend?

This is the exact glider we got, same color/fabric too. Some of the reviews I read said it might squeak, I haven't sat in it a lot, but what little I have, I haven't heard any squeaking. It was a comfortable chair that can be used in our living room when we no longer need a nursery. It was also a big enough chair that DH felt comfortable in it. Neither of us liked the feel of the glider/rockers that were mainly wooden with a small piece of fabric under your butt and at your back.

We just got this exact glider as well. You can use the BRU 20% off on both the glider and the ottoman if you get the color combo they have in store...great savings!
It has a little grinding sound when we rock in it but it's already going away...we haven't sat in it very much at all. I think it's just a matter of breaking it in a bit.
It's very comfy and we liked that it could move to another room easily without looking like a traditional glider.
I got the Enchanted Embassy Plush Taupe swivel glider from Walmart and had it shipped site to store for free. It reminds me a lot of the Newco glider at BRU (cushy and cozy). They have several styles depending on if you like skirted, no skirt, boxier look, etc. The (possibly moronic) BRU customer service rep on the phone told me BRU would not do a free site to store shipping, which is why I went with the Enchanted, (BRU wanted like $150 to ship the glider and ottoman). However, I have heard if you go to the actual BRU store to buy it, they will indeed accomodate having it sent to the store for free. Anyway, I am very happy with the Enchanted, it is silent and extremely comfy. They also made a recliner/glider version that I like the looks of even better than the one I got, but I thought it might be tough to clamber out of if I had a sleeping baby in my arms versus spinning around in the glider and standing up. The recliner would be awesome for small spaces though (and our nursery is tiny).
If you go to walmart.com and look up Enchanted glider you can see all the colors and models.
I was at BRU yesterday looking at that exact glider. I thought it was amazingly comfortable although the gliding mechanism felt a little cheap. I actually ended up adding it to my registry because the one we originally wanted was at Costco.com so we couldn't register for it. But once I got home and read the mostly terrible reviews on the BRU website I quickly deleted it from the registry. So we're sticking with a very similar shaped glider from Costco.com at least with Costco I know that returns will be super easy if anything ever happens to it.
We almost got that glider, but went with the Newco Sunny swivel reclining glider, instead. We decided we wanted a recliner rather than a chair + ottoman.
The chair was delivered this week and is super comfy. Very happy with it!
