Do you buy multiple items of similar/same clothing?

I'm debating on purchasing a 2nd pair of jeans on Ebay because they fit sooo well and they are half price compared to the department store.  I feel silly doing this but it's a habit of mine to buy two of something if I really, really like it.  I feel like jeans are difficult for me to find because of my huge hips so I was ecstatic to find them for such a good price. Does anyone else do this or am I just a little crazy?

Re: Do you buy multiple items of similar/same clothing?

  • I do it a bit but my Mum is unstoppable. She does it too much and then I find she's bought (me or herself) so many doubles that when new things come out she can't justify new clothes. PITA.

One word of advice, don't do that with shoes. I bought 2 pairs of walking boots because they were so comfy. Then had 3 pregnancies and none of them fit (1 pair totally unworn).

  • I totally do. Especially with jeans, I buy multiple pair. I also do it with tops, if I really like a top (usually a basic top) then I buy it in a couple colors.
  • I do it and will buy the next size up too.

  • What brand are they?  My hips have grown since baby and I'm embarrased to go buy more.  Embarrassed  I feel so fat even though I'm down within 5lbs of prebaby weight.

  • I do. When I find a super cute top or something for DD or even myself it's nice to have it again as an option.

  • hello love.

    How was your vacation??????

  • For me, hell yes.  It's so hard for me to find items I love wrt style and that fit me well, so when I do and if the price isn't exorbitant, I buy it in every color, and even a backup of the best color.  Especially jeans.
  • Definitely do with jeans, because it seems like it's only once every 3-5 years that I can find some I like the style and fit of.  I did it last fall and the only problem is that I've since lost 10 pounds and they're all a little baggy now.  I can deal though, because they are so comfy and make my butt look nice.  ;)

Lucky Easy Rider "Boone".  They are a size 8/29 but I really wear a 10 these days.

  • Ask my DH and he would say that I absolutely do. He is always pointing out that the new top I just bought or the new jeans I just bought are exactly the same as what's in my closet.

With jeans, though, I would totally do what you're doing. Jeans are really hard to shop for.
