Anyone else over Oprah?

I still watch, but I am finding this last season to be disappointingly boring.  It is just one celebrity after the next promoting their new books/movies, etc.

I feel the same way except I've never been into Oprah.
    31 months!
  • I never get to watch it since I work but I love Maya Rudolph's impression of her lol!
  • I'm waiting for part 2 of her trip to Yosemite with Gayle, I think it's on Wed.  We were there this summer so it's interesting to get her take on all that nature.  I also  found it entertaining that both of them couldn't figure out how to open a bottle with a bottle opener...pretty sad honestly.

  • Yes. But, I am interested in Portia De Rossi and Ricky Martin. I don't know though- ever since she announced this is the last season though, I've been underwhelmed by most of her show topics so far.  Maybe if she didn't make it like this was going to be the Best. Season. Ever. there wouldn't be so much expectation...but there is and it's not living up to the hype.

Yessss!  I watched with my mother last night.  Too funny, especially the old stuff!

  • I liked her back in the day... now I don't watch anymore... I did DVR the one with the cast of Sound of Music... thanks to fellow bumpie!

I guess I used to respect her more... now I just don't care....

Yes that is what I'm waiting for too! And that she didn't know what REI was...crazy how sheltered she can be!

  • Every time I look at the synopsis of one of her shows I get disappointed! I am so tired of celebrity interviews. Also..where have I been? I did not know that Ricky Martin was gay.
  • I am really not a fan and haven't watched since 2003 when I moved home from college and my mom would have it on. She's just so annoying.

  • Does she bug at times?  YES!  But, I've been watching her since I was a teeenager in the 80s (I'm that old).  Even though I rarely watch, I do occasionally, and will be said when her show is gone.  End of an era!

  • I almost exclusively read memoirs so I like to know who has a new book out.  I started in the late 80's/early 90's with my father's copies of Rock Hudson, Michael Jackson and Howard Stern and haven't stopped since. I probably have 100's of celebrity memoirs. (Just one of those weird random facts you now know about me). I didn't know Portia had a book out until I saw Oprah yesterday so I'll be reading that later. Same with Ricky.

BUT, I think I turned on Oprah when she made that guy from Harrod's (London) come on her show and personally apologize to her a few years ago.  It was for not letting her in when they were closed because they couldn't recognize her.  That's when it was abundantly clear she lives nowhere close to reality- more like the corners of Entitlement Rd and A$$hole St.

Was it Harrod's?  I thought it was Hermes.  I could be totally wrong.

She is an extraordinary woman and has every right to be proud, but enough with the trips down memory lane during every single interview.

You're right. It was Hermes. But, it was still a complete a-hole move for someone who likes to act like she's just like everyone else.

I think she's done a lot of really great things, but she's just at a point where she's completely lost her "everyday woman" appeal that I believe she used to have.

    This.

I watch on occasion, not every day.  I just saw the commercial for Thursday's show - The Backstreet Boys will be on... I will be watching that.  I am sad.  lol
