eye gender test

So I heard a new Old Wives Tale recently and I'm curious to see if this occurs for anyone else... basically, the tale goes that when women are pregnant, a "V" or some sort of branch shaped symbol will appear in the bottom white part of your eye (you have to pull the bottom eyelid down in order to see it) Supposedly, this only occurs when women are pregnant and anyone else will not have this present. I've tried it and see a V in my left eye and so far none of the non-pregnant friends I've asked about this have it.

The gender theory goes that if the V is in your left eye, it's a girl; if it's in the right, it will be a boy. I don't actually believe this but I read another thread where nearly all of the posters said the V thing was accurate for the gender of their baby...so does anyone want to play along and tell us if you can spot the V/which eye it is in?

Mine is my right. So far we have the eye test and Shettles method claiming boy, and some other old wives' tales and Chinese gender chart claiming girl. We shall see!

This sparked my curiosity and I just went to the bathroom to check (I had some major gas to pass anyway, so it wasn't a wasted trip ;-))

I have a V in both eyes! I sure hope they didn't miss something my last ultrasound....

Ok, I'm in since I had to get up to use the bathroom yet again. I don't really see a "v" more like two field goal posts but if you extrapolate those to be "v"s then the baby is both since they are in both eyes. Don't you dare say ttwins, one of each, one will be more than enough of a challenge. The only thing I've heard about the eyes in that your vision can sometimes change temporarily. I haven't noticed it but I made sure to get new glasses before we started trying since I don't see myself putting in my contacts for a 3am feeding.

I actually have what resembles a V in BOTH eyes! The one in my right eye is less misshapen and more V-like, so that means boy. Alas, we found out yesterday, it's a GIRL!

I had to go to 2 different bathrooms to have enough light to see.

There is an upside down y in my right eye and just some lines in my left.

Hmmmm Most of the predictors have said boy for me.

Mine kind of looks like a checkmark and it's in the right eye. We did the ring on a chain test (hold it above abdomen and if it moves in circle it's a girl, if it moves in line it's a boy), ours moved in a line and we tried it several times.

We're going in on Saturday for a 3d gender ultrasound so we'll see!

I have a "V" in each eye. We're having twins so one of each is definitely a possibility. I guess we'll see for sure on the 30th.

Is the V part of a red blood vessel? Not sure what I'm looking for, but I do see a V in my right eye formed from red vessels, and I am having a boy. In my case, it would be right. I guess there's a 50% chance!

No V's at all for me. I've done 9 or so of the Old Wives' Tales and 6 say girl, 3 say boy. We'll see today!

I read this somewhere else a while ago and every time I've checked since I've had a V or something similar only in the left eye. DH swears it a boy, I've had a feeling it's a boy, but lately I've been having girl dreams. We'll see....

The V is in my left eye. Every OWT has pointed to girl (and I have a strong feeling it's a girl) so it will be really interesting to find out next week!

Well this is certainly a new one! My v says girl. We just had a huge argument about our girl name and DS saved the day. Friends have been saying that the fight and DS's influence are the signs that the baby is a girl. DS has been claiming he's going to have a sister all along.

I have two parallel lines in my right eye, I guess that's close to a V. According to the Chinese chart, it's a boy too. Everyone however, seems to think it's a girl. Hopefully, we'll find out on the 15th.

Hmm.. I have a definite V in my left eye and nothing in my right. I've never heard this OWT though so I'm not taking too much stock in it lol!

I've done the different OWT things and they pretty much come up 50/50.. shocker I know lol!

wow so i have a very noticable v in my left eye my whole family thinks im having a girl and the baby's heart rate has been in the 160's so I guess we will have to wait and see

I am so bummed I don't have the V. I saw this on 2nd trimester and thought "oh just an old wive's tale." But then like 30 people replied and about 23 or 24 of them were CORRECT. That's insane! I still don't think it could be possible, but was secretly hoping to have a little v vein.
