1st Trimester

I feel like the Goodyear Blimp

Does anyone else feel like this? I can't believe how bloated I am. Several pairs of pants won't button and I've already resorted to the "hair band" method w/them. Please tell me this will go away soon. I thought I'd be comfortable in all my regular clothes through at least the 1st tri (yes, this is just bloat & I know it isn't baby at this stage). I think I'm a few days ahead of my ticker's indication, but I'm sure I'm in my 5th week.  Is this normal?

at least you're not one of those ladies who get SO EXCITED when they think they have a little baby bump at 5 or 6 weeks!  Confused

lol, but yes being bloated is normal. once I got my BFP at about 6weeks, I was suuuuper bloated til I was about 10-ish weeks.

but good luck and congrats on your BFP Big Smile

  • Yes, I know better Wink Glad to hear that it isn't just me. I haven't gained any weight at all, so this has baffled me. Guess I'll just plan to "hair band" those pant and I may even bust out the Bella band and give that a whirl.

Thanks for the info & good wishes!

  • My jeans feel really snug too...and even my work scrubs (the elastic) are killing me. I def feel fat instead of baby bloat

  • I was super bloated from weeks 5-8 and now it is finally starting to go down!
  • Thank you for posting this!  I've been feeling so badly about myself becasue I don't remember being this bloated with my first and am feeling huge at only 5 weeks.  Glad to know I'm not the only one un-buttoning those jeans in the afternoons!  :)
  • Good to hear all this.

I have lost 7 pounds but recently at a party someone asked if I was pregnant. I was shocked and hurt because I know my belly shouldn't be bloated like that. But I was pregnant so it was hard to reply.
