10 weeks and belly band?

is anyone else showing at 10 weeks? i feel fat!

my pants are not buttoning but are still zipping to the top and i'm wearing a belly band today which i have to say is not too bad. it just shows a little bumpy thing by where the pant button is- is there a way to hide that? i am wearing a medium thick sweater today.

also, is it safe to wear tights or should i be buying maternity tights already?

Re: 10 weeks and belly band?

  • With DS, I didn't show at 10 weeks, but I am now with #2.  A belly band should do the trick or try wrapping a rubber band around your button on your pants.

As far as tights - of course it's safe to wear tights.  If they're just too tight on you and making you uncomfortable, get the next size up or buy maternity.

  • I swear I look like I'm about 4 months preggers right now! I had major bloat the last couple of weeks but now my belly is starting to look more rounded. However, I didn't have a flat stomach to begin with so I think that things are just getting pushed outwards.

  • I'm almost 12 weeks, and I can't button any of my jeans. I don't consider it to be "showing" though. MW says it's all bloat. Yuck. :(

  • I am only 10 weeks and while I am not "showing" and know it is mostly bloat, all of my pants (except PJs) are not comfortable anymore.  I can squeeze myself in them but it's just not comfy.  I broke down and bought three pairs of maternity pants this wkd and they are sooooooo much more comfortable.  I don't care if it's bloat, I'd rather be comfy in maternity pants than force my old clothes to fit.

  • It's the bloat for sure. I'm only 5 wks and pants are very tight but I've lost weight. So it's deff. bloat.

  • I am only in my 5TH week and my pants are on my nerves already. Geezzzz. They are so tight when I sit down. Standing is okay but sitting is awful. It's not a fun feeling. I didn't have to wear maternity clothes with my daughter for months. I am not sure how long I will be able to hold out.

  • 8w3d and I'm in a belly band.  Bump or bloat, my pants don't fit, and I'm buying some maternity clothes this weekend.  I'm tired of everything being too tight!

  • I'm 8.5 weeks with my second baby and my husband told me yesterday that it was really time to move into my maternity clothes (after he saw me squeze into my jeans).  I know its probably just bloat, but its still uncomfortable.

  • I bought my first belly band at 10 weeks.  It seemed to me like it was too soon to buy one, but I was so glad that I did.  I have purchased a few pairs of maternity jeans but am holding out on the maternity dress pants for the time being.  The belly band is getting me through this awkward stage really well!

Hopefully mom and I can spend a girl's day this weekend shopping for a few more things that fit me a little bit better!
