2nd Trimester

Pressure?

I'm feeling pressure all through my tummy. Its definately not cramps though...could this just be growing pains or possibly baby moving? I get the most pressure around my navel and right now lower tummy....tia!

Re: Pressure?

  • I started to feel insane pressure right around the point you are at. It seemed like it was the worst at night and in the early mornings.  I thought it was kicks or something but now that I am feeling the actual kicks, I know it was probably just my uterus expanding.

My ob showed me this picture of what happens to all your other organs as the baby grows, I wish I had it to post here. It was pretty crazy the way your liver, bowels and stomach just squish around to make room for growing baby.

For me though the pressure has kind of subsided and is just a sense of being really heavy now. My belly is pretty big now and the changes are hard to deal with at times!!

  • I remember starting to feel it around that time.  I think it's just your uterus moving up.  You are literally feeling pregnant.

  • Uterus moving up and growing. I had the same thing. Once you "pop," the pressure will go away, but you'll have a totally different feeling instead.
