Babies: 3 - 6 Months

OMG- LO goes from so sleepy to wide awake in seconds!

seriously, she will be asleep/eyes rolling back in her head, then I set her down in the crib and she is WIDE awake!!!! Then fights sleep for 5-10 mins...... not really crying, but fussing. Ugh!

Why? Smile

Am I alone in this, or is this a common thing among you all?

  • Happens almost every day here.
Batman likes to watch cartoons on the weekends. Whatever.

  • Happens to us all the time.  It is SOOO hard not to start laughing when I am trying to hold the paci in his mouth and he is just grinning like a fool, rolling his head back and forth and kicking his legs.  I actually have to look away and tell myself not to make eye contact!

This......it can be sooooo frustrating, but I, too, have to look away too so she doesn't see me smiling/laughing!

  • It's because they are waking up in a place different than they fell asleep.

Swaddle your LO, put them in their crib awake, and see if they'll fall asleep.

I second the swaddling.  Had not tried this in months..LO napped in her crib for over an hr today (which is huge for us).  I also bought the magic sleepsuit for naps..havent tried it yet tho.

  • Charlotte doesn't sleep. Seriously...like....ever. Naps are usually 30min and at night she's still not sttn. In addition, she fights sleep like you would not believe (ok, well it sounds like maybe you would...but you get what I'm saying).

I usually put her to sleep and then put her down in her crib. If she's not over tired I'll get her drowsy and put her down, but really she just goes down once she's already sleeping...makes it easier on us all.
