Two weeks ago I took my son camping with his cub scout troop. I packed both of our overnight bags, the tent and all the supplies, went to the store and got food, and camped for a full day and night with him. This weekend it was DH's turn to go on the camping trip...and it only went from 8 last night until 1 this afternoon. Much shorter. Yesterday he packed the tent and his stuff and wanted me to pack up my son's bag. Which I did because I'm a good wife and mommy. I was exhausted from being outside on my feet all day long at work for our schools' fall festival....so I packed him up quickly and then rested on the couch for a bit. Well DH texts me this morning mad because I forgot to pack an extra pair of socks for my son. Apparently they got wet and now they smell bad. Whoops! I offered to run a clean pair over (they are only about 25 minutes from here)...he said no, he is just drying them over the fire...so not a huge deal, right? But then he starts telling me that I need to be more responsible and actually help out instead of just sitting on the couch. Um...jerk. Two weeks ago I did it on my own...I was trying to help him out this time, instead of a thank you, he picks a fight over the one thing I forgot? Granted, it sucks for my son that his socks got wet and there are no extras, but he will survive for a few hours without them if he needs...and if he is drying them over the fire and doesn't want me to bring more, it can't be that bad, right? Just ticks me off that he got so mad over it. Ok complaint over. Thx for letting me complain...now if you'll excuse me, I think I will go hide one sock from each pair of DH's socks from him. Just out of spite
