Most likely not.... If I do I will get one of the cheaper ones. They really grow out of them fast. Once Jeremy learned to roll over, he wasn't stationary much longer. He figured crawling out FAST!

We had one which will come out again. It was super cheap but did the job - and although you can certainly do without it, if you can find a cheap one, it's not much money and helps entertain them while they're laying on their backs, etc. Not a bad investment IMO.
Why are you thinking not?
ETA: W rolled at 6 months, crawled/slithered at 8? He wasn't fast in that department, and although it was more useful early on (up to 6mon), that was still handy.
Ive been given one and I think these would be great. I'm still undecided on the exersaucer things because they're so big and junky. But this is great for babies to lay and look at themselves with the mirrors and try to sit up and grab for the toys. Plus you can take it apart and roll it up. Right now ours is rolled up in a corner, doesn't take up any space.
My reasons were that it can be used for tummy time or for reaching for and kicking at the toys hanging. Also, I'm really anti-exersaucer and I like that this is an "entertainer" that she can crawl out of when she's bored. I picked this out before I saw that there was one for girls, techincally this is for boys, but I like this one better anyway. It's the Infantino Vintage Twist and Fold Activity Gym. I got it as a shower gift, but it's only about $40.

I've just been debating between something full on like this or a smaller version that's just for tummy time. I like the picture I posted, but I guess I just don't want something that will be expensive/take up a bunch of room for something she won't use much. Maybe if we have gift cards/store credit... : ))

This one is really cute! See, I like that it has the built in tummy time thing. I don't want two devices!

Yes. We registered for the one below. I liked it because it has real pictures of the animals, and as baby gets bigger, the top can be taken off and the mat still used for play and learning.

I like it because I can fold it up and tuck it away which we couldn't do with an exersaucer. I'm not against a jumper or exersaucer, I just don't have room for it right now. Maybe when his little legs are working/more coordinated, I'll trade the mat for something that moves.
I see both the mat and the jumper/exersaucer at the consignment shops all the time. The mats sell for about $20.

Mrs. T- you are brilliant. I'm feeling all pregnant- brainish right now, but I probably would have not thought to go to a consignment store for this item. And then I wouldn't feel guilty for spending $50-60 and her not using it!!
I also don't feel like we have enough room for an exersaucer. And plus, if I'm honest, a lot of them are pretty tacky looking.

My friend is lending us her fisher price rainforest one. I think I actually bought it for her, it's coming full circle! I remember using it for her son a lot (we lived in a 2 family house when he was born and he spent a lot of time in our apartment).
So we have that and I just discovered the Pack N Play we got has a removable one (Chicco Lullaby) AND our exersaucer has a small one attached. So we have too many maybe...Not opening the exersaucer one.
Upstairs I'll use the rainforest one and in the basement the Pack N Play one.

A friend is giving me a hand-me-down one. It is missing some of the dangling toys, but I can just get some new dangling toys to hang from it. I had registered for the same Infantino one that a few PPs mentioned, but no one has bought it yet, and I figured why pass up on the free one from a friend?

I bought the FP Precious Planets one at a consignment sale for $12. I find the product waaaaaay overpriced at 40/50 bucks - It's a blanket with foam bars on it..seriously. I did without for #1 and didn't feel like I needed it. I'm not sure why I felt the need to buy it this time. It was an impulse buy for wanting something "new" for #2 I guess.

this is the one I'm getting, as well. it's perfect for when they're tiny. exersaucers are more like when they're 4ish months and up.. I plan on getting both. IMO you can never have too many places to put a baby.

My friend recommended the Tiny Love Gymini. We registered for it and got it at our last shower. I wanted something
that would stimulate and entertain LO and also to use for tummy time.
It has different textures and shapes, a mirror, and plays music.
The same friend that suggested it ended up buying me this for my shower. It's the Infantino surfboard tummy time mat.
We registered for and received the one below. Its the Fisher-Price Luv U Zoo. We chose this one because it has toys that attach/detach and you can use them on the stroller or car seat, so its not just an activity gym. Its really adorable with sounds and lights and stuff. I am hoping LO loves it!

My sister is letting me borrow this one my nephew used. It doesn't have all the original toys, but it'll work. I don't expect the little one to be entertained by this thing for very long.
we got about 6 different kinds of these things at the shower lol so yea, we're going to be using them. i guess its good for tummy time and such. i doubt i wouldve bought one if it werent for ppl giving them to us as shower gifts.
We had one from DD and will use it again. I think you would use it a lot more than you imagine. It teaches them to reach and helps their eye sight with the colors. You don't need anything for tummy time, just lay them flat on their tummy or prop them on the boppy for tummy time.

Yes. We registered for the one below. I liked it because it has real pictures of the animals, and as baby gets bigger, the top can be taken off and the mat still used for play and learning.
This is the one we got as well. Actually, we received 2 off the
registry! The top bars detach for later & you have a really
brightly colored mat with fun animals when they are older. I don't know that I would have gotten such a fancy one if people hadn't purchased it off the registry though - any play mat will do.
We had one for DS and loved it!! It's an Infantino one with cowboys/ horses. Used it daily until he was probably 5 months?
I'm thinking it'll be helpful to keep DS1 off of baby #2 this time- the stuff over top will be a "head's up" to not walk on him! LOL!
For those debating an excersaucer- they are definitely big and fugly, but DS used it from 4-5 mo old until 12 mo!! It was great for "restraining him" while we ate meals, ran to the bathroom, etc... Not a big fan of chillin' in the pack-n-play for that!!
Oh yes! We have a 4 month old nephew and he is mezmerized by his, he stays quiet and just plays with the hanging toys and looks at the lights.I plan on using ours all the time!
The one we are going to get is this one It's only $40 and gets the job done
I used mine a lot with Andrew. Don't spend full price on it though. Register for it, or get it consignment. Everything on those is washable so it's easy to clean up before using. Ours was a hand me down.

I'm trying to decide whether I need/want something like this for Lainey. Thoughts/opinions? If you're getting one, which one are you getting?
We have this one pictured above (received it as a shower gift). Glad we got one b/c MH insisted that we get an activity gym, as they are really great for development.
I was given one at my shower. The Infantino Monkey......I wasn't sure about registering for one but my friend who gave this to me swore by it. I had bought the matching tummy time mat/shopping cart cover prior to recieving this.....
My reasons were that it can be used for tummy time or for reaching for and kicking at the toys hanging. We got this one too...it was on our registry. I didn't register for a super pricey one knowing they're not used long, and like you said, it's only $40 and we got it as a gift! (we also picked this one for a girl)
I bought something like it only because it was 50% off at Target (originally $75). It's round and has sides that blow up like an inner tube. I think those things are way over priced and probably wouldn't have bought one if I hadn't found a good deal.
yes, we registered for one & got it at our shower. I originally didn't have one on the registry, but my sister said her kids loved activity mats & we should register for one, so we did!

That will be what we are getting but only because someone offered to buy it for us. I like that it can be for tummy time, laying on back and sitting up. Plus It matches in so well with our nursery! If I were to buy one it would just be a cheap one.

It was cheaper on Amazon than in-store with a 20% coupon.
