I've been a little MIA this week, but lurking. It's been a really tough week for me.
Sunday evening, I started noticing a sharp pain in my right side. It was so bad that I was unable to find a comfortable position on either my right or left side to sleep. Monday was pretty miserable as well. My side still hurt terribly bad and it was so painful to even breathe. It was also very difficult trying to keep up with Caroline. I contacted my doctor and we kept missing each other's calls, but she ended up saying that I could take a Percocet (only 1) and if that didn't help, I needed to come in the next day to make sure it wasn't my gallbladder or anything else. I called my mom Monday night and she said she would come right away. This was at 7:30 and she's 3 hours away. I was sooo happy that she offered to come.
Monday night I couldn't sleep a bit, even with the Percocet. It didn't even touch the pain. So Tuesday morning I went to the doctor's office right when they opened so I could find out what to do. The doctor saw me and did an u/s to make sure baby was okay. Everything with her looked great so she sent me to radiology to have an u/s of my pancreas, kidney, gallbladder and liver. I got that done, then came home and slept for a few hours (thank god my mom was here to watch Caroline. She left Tuesday evening.)
Yesterday the pain was a little less sharp, but still there. Plus I noticed that the left side is now a little tender. The doctor called to tell me that all my organs that they looked at appear to be fine. She thinks I must have a hairline fracture of my rib because I've been coughing so much because of this yucky sinus infection that I've been fighting. She said it takes about a month to heal, but I should start feeling better within a week or two.
So, I'm glad it's nothing big, but it still totally sucks! Let me tell you, a fractured rib is freaking painful! It still hurts when I try to take a deep breath or cough, but I can tell it's getting better. I'm actually able to lay down and sleep at night. I've been trying to keep up with Caroline's schedule so that she gets worn out and will sleep well, but it's been hard getting her to her activities, especially since they all require parent participation. (We started Gymboree yesterday.)
So that's been my week. Miss you all!

That sounds terrible. I am so sorry. I hope it starts feeling better asap.
Mom's are the coolest people ever.
Rib pain is HORRIBLE! I'm glad your rib is starting to feel better though.
