I will have at best one hour after work tonight to come up with something to wear to an 80s themed Halloween party. The challenge: no time to go out shopping for anything, and also have limited supply of even regular clothes b/c of my changing size/shape...
Anyone have any easy make-at-home costume ideas? It's just a party at a friend's house- I think a little effort will be appreciated but a big production of a costume not necessary/expected (I thought the party was off and found out yesterday it is on, otherwise I might have spent some time thinking about this b/f now!)
One suggestion was to wear a hat and glue/tape/affix 16 Candles to it. (and just wear regular clothes for the rest of it). Subtle is OK... I mean, if I had more time, I have visions of being a Strawberry Shortcake character... but quick an simple is good for now!
I have skinny jeans, I think I have a curling iron (no crimper!), and I probably could come up w/ some frosty blue eyeshadow if the costume required it...other than that, I have nothing that screams 80s to me...If you have ideas- please share! Thx!

What about layering two pairs of colored socks and scrunching them down a bit? Also, any big bows you have for your hair and BIG bangs (use your curling iron, backcomb them, and LOTS of hairspray) a shirt tied on the side in a knot, a side ponytail... Can you tell I was a child of the 80's?
Flashdance is what immediately came to my mind too!
