    I stopped sterilizing a couple of months ago and DS has been fine.  His toys (that are always in his mouth) also get on our carpet sometimes.  lol

    I will be honest when I saw the title of your post I was expecting something really horrible, like smoking around LO or having sex with her boyfriend.  And then I opened the post and saw that it was about sterilizing bottles, I had to chuckle a little.

    I sterilized when I first bought them like many mamma's here, and now I wash them in the dishwasher and run the sanitize setting.  It heats the water hot enough to sanitize them.  I've never reboiled them after the first boil though.  And to be honest I wouldn't keep running the sanitize setting but once you select it it runs every washing unless you unselect it, and I just never remember to unselect it :)
