Dogs are so gross sometime.

Last night our house started filling with the smell of sewage. It made me totally panic thinking that something was wrong with our septic system.

The smell kept appearing in one room and then would dissapear, then another room would start to stink. The kids were literally gagging and then we realized the source of the stink: the dog! 

He ended up spending the night locked in the unfinished basement because it was too late to try to give him a bath. I have no idea what the hell happened to him but apparently he found something nasty to roll in while out in the woods on our property. I have NEVER smelled such a terribly stinky dog before in my entire life, but at least it wasn't the septic!

    Dogs can be nasty. We just gave our dog a bath the other day.

    My neighbor has 2 dogs and the puppy follows behind the other waiting to eat it's poop. Ick!

    When I was growing up we had a summer camp on a lake....the family dog LOVES to roll around a dead fish....nasty smell!  Thats one thing I never understood about dogs....their need to roll around anything thats nasty!

    This happens to us with our dog. Was it raining near you?  I ask, because when it rains here, I see him trying to pick something up out of the grass, and then he turns is body and rolls in it......worms!  Ick, it is the MOST horrendous smell ever. We have the mobile dog groomer come about every 2 mos, but last month, we had her come to just shampoo him b/s it was so stinky. Lucky us, he rolled in the worms again that night! Angry

    Yeah, read a little farther down (from yesterday).  My dog brought me a raccoon tail yesterday.  Yuck.
