WDYT of Sean?

Hi Ladies! I posted a few weeks ago about the name Dillon Patrick. Since lately I've been hearing that Dillons get a bad rep, I've been continuing my search to see if anything else sticks.. The past few days I've been thinking that I like the name Sean. I haven't heard this name used too much lately. Is it more popular than I think? DH and I still like the mn Patrick (or maybe Elliott). Which of the following names do you like best? Please let me know if any other names come to mind too! I'm 30 weeks pregnant.. and I feel the clock is ticking ... Thanks!!

I like the name Sean. It's a good, strong name that's not overused.

Sean Elliott sounds better to me, but Patrick is nice too.

I like Sean Patrick but I bet Sean Elliot is less common, so I would choose that.

I see what you mean about Sean Elliott probably being less common. I just read the previous post where Sean Patrick was mentioned. I'm wondering though, do you think that the initials SEW would be weird for a boy? I don't know if I like that...

Sean is nms, I think it's dated like pp said. Elliott reminds me of ET and a coworker I seriously am annoyed by. I like Patrick and I really like Dillon.

DH is Sean Patrick so I love that name.

While I agree that it's fairly dated, I think it's a great solid name that could easily make a comeback. DH is 41 and in his circle of friends, he knows 2 others with his first name (spelled Shaun and Shawn though).

I'm quite partial to it. I call DH "Sean Patrick" most of the time.

I'm not as much a fan of Sean Elliott but I love the name Dillon.

You might be interested to know that Shawn Patrick Hunter was the name of Corey's best friend on "Boy Meet's World".

I love Patrick! Forgive me, did you already mention a reason you don't want that for a first name?

I'm very partial to the name Sean. My brother is Sean Michael and DH is Sean Teague. Lots of Seans for me, but I love the name (especially if you're going to spell it the right way Wink

)
