Are they really worth it? DH and I didn't think that we would get one. Afterall, DD will always pick up plenty of germs from the daycare. Now I'm having second thoughts about flu season. She's got about two more weeks in her infant carseat before we switch over. Has anyone gotten one and felt that it was a waste of money?

Re: Speaking of grocery cart covers...
I love it as a "toy containing device." At restaurants and the supermarket, she's always dropping toys. I'd say about half land in the Boppy protect me.
As for germs, I actually think it's more useful at restaurants. Restaurant highchairs are extremely disgusting. I'm not sure they ever get washed. So having a layer between her skin and the nastiness is nice.
totally worth it....P will try to bite the handle of the cart
and that is just nasty when you think of everything/everyone that touches it. (people, raw meat, milk, etc...)
also i just park next to the cart corral put it on the cart while P is still in her carseat, keep it in the trunk and wash it once a week. i use it at every store we go to that has a cart--totally worth the $ if you ask me.
we have the floppy seat cover--fits every cart we have come across.
I have one and I use it every single time. as T said, there are germs on those carts that a wipe won't kill. Now that flu season is coming upon us, it was especially worth the $15 I spent on it.
Plus, it keeps DS from trying to eat the bars, and ours has toy handles plus a big pocket for snacks and a drink. it comes in very useful to keep DS entertained with all of his stuff.

I use mine on long shopping trips mainly for entertainment. You can attach toys to the one I have. It also catches the snacks when they fall...
I also didn't spend alot of $$ on (I think it was $10 at Ross).
I think it is a must have! We use ours every time and also put the same cover on high chairs at restaurants. We just leave it in the diaper bag or car so we always have it.
Your daycare should clean off toys daily, but stores and restaurants rarely clean off their carts and high chairs.

I don't think they are worth the hassle. I had one with DD1 when I was paranoid over every single thing but I gave it up after a few months and never used them at all with DD2 or DS.
But, then again I don't even wipe down the seat or handle. I'm just not worried about it.
I used it quite a bit when DS was first riding in carts, but rarely use it anymore. It was just too much of a PITA to hold a wiggly baby and arrange the cover. I just wipe the cart down with Clorox wipes (I love that most stores have these now!) and plop him in.
