Trying to Get Pregnant

waking up warm

If you have a morning where you feel warmer than usual - for example, wore long sleeves to bed or an extra blanket, do you feel like that effects your temp?

It's been getting cold here at night over the past week and I had more layers on me last night. I woke up when my alarm went off to take my temp and felt warm.

The reason I ask is because if I have one more high temp (i plugged a fake temp in FF for tomorrow) then FF will give me CH's. BUT, I don't think I ovulated this cycle and I don't know if today's temp is just making me crazy.

Re: waking up warm

  • I used to always wonder about this, as there were some nights where I woke up all sweaty and nasty or whatnot. I was SURE that it must be messing with my temps, but in the end my charts always looked normal. Unless you're talking 'slept with an electric blanket on all night' -I doubt it'll really mess with the temp that much. :)

  • I'm not sure how much that would affect you. I'm sure it would alter your temps a little, but not too much. I woke up warm yesterday and my temp was actually lower. I'm sure it varies from woman to woman. I've been sitting here hoping the colder weather was what was causing my temps to go lower! See what happens with your temps in the next few days. If your temp is consistently higher, you really might have O'd.

  • FWIW, I woke up sweaty day before yesterday and had a low temp, I woke up hot, but not sweaty today and it is high, so I really don't think it affects it much.
