How long was your engagement? 4.5 months (when you're ready, you're ready! We wanted an outdoor wedding so had to fit it in before hurricane season - and mosquito season - or else wait 6 more months until the end of hurricane season which we didn't want to do)

Do you have an engagement ring? I have TWO (lucky girl :-)

If so, describe (or PIP) your engagement ring. The first one DH custom designed using family stones. It has a diamond in the center and a ruby on one side and emerald on the other. Ruby and diamond were from a ring DH's father who has now passed away used to wear. DH is a boat captain and the red and green have nautical significance. The other is a round solitaire (also a family stone) set in a halo of diamonds.

We got engaged June of 08, and married June of 09

White gold, has the "past, present, future" type diamonds - the bigger one in the middle, one medium diamond on either side, and then 3 inset small diamonds on either side.

Wedding band is also white gold with inset diamonds all the way around it.

My parents were married for 21 years when my dad died in 1997. Mom never remarried.

DH's parents divorced when he was 8, I believe...they are both remarried (and the interesting thing is....their current spouses were married to each other! Yep, they basically swapped spouses!)

How long was your engagement??never engaged. We eloped when I was 21. We didn't tell our friends/family for 7 years (because we wanted to have a wedding one day). They were all pissed and wouldn't go to our wedding (we were planning a New Years celebration in Park City, Utah). We said 'screw you' and took the money we saved, and went on a road trip in Europe for 3 weeks. Do you have an engagement ring? Yes, it's a 1/2 Carat Marquise solitaire (it's all we could afford at the time). I would LOVE an upgrade!
