I'm 18w5d today, had my ultrasound last week and all looks good, but I still haven't felt the baby really move. I did a few times over the weekend, but not since. This is my second baby and with my first I felt her at 16w. My placenta with my first was low versus this time it is as high up as possible, I wonder if that is impacting it....
Tell me I am being ridiculous and I shouldn't be concerned yet.....
Re: Starting to worry...tell me to stop
You should not be worried yet. I am over 24 weeks and have barely felt her move. I felt one actual kick and some light flutters but that is it. My ob said they don't even start telling patients to pay attention until 28 weeks.
I have an anterior placenta so I know I will feel her later than most but 18 weeks is pretty early. I know some women say they feel things at 16 weeks and one girl posted she felt kicks at 13 weeks but I don't believe that for one second. At 13 weeks your baby weights less then an ounce and is 2 inches long. Even now at 24 weeks my little girl is so tiny, I am not at all surprised I haven't felt much.
don't worry- i haven't felt much either yet. i felt him a ton at 17w3d and 17w4d, but since then i haven't felt anything.
found out on friday that i have an anterior placenta and i probably wont be feeling much for another couple of weeks.
they are really tiny and not that strong at this point. they are surrounded by so much fluid and other stuff, and they have plenty of room to move around without hitting you! you will feel it soon
