How is everyone doing?
I am exhausted and just want to get in the bath and have a good cry. Instead I feel like I need to do my 3 mile loop so I can stay healthy.
Also, my brother got out of the mental hospital today and they are not sentencing him to medication like my family had hoped. He has been tricking doctors for so long, I can't believe they are so stupid. How can he hide his psychosis so easily? I am considering not talking to him for a long time, I feel like I can't go through this any more and it is only a matter of time before he succeeds at killing himself.
Thats a little me update. And everyday I am so happy to still be pregnant.
Re: Do I have to work out? I just want to cry in the bath
I'm sorry things didn't work out the way you had hoped with your brother. I've been thinking about you.
You need to do what's best for you--whether that means taking time away from toxic family members or taking a bubble bath instead of exercising. Take this time to care for yourself before your little one gets here!
I'm so sorry to hear about your brother. We're struggling with mental illness in DH's parents (especially his mom). Makes me sick to just watch her throw her and FIL's life away. But try to come to peace that you've done everything you can to help him. Taking a break from the relationship can be a good thing. Sometimes you need to step back to protect and heal yourself.
Do you run! You don't have to do all 3 miles (I always make a deal with myself that if I finish a mile and still don't feel like running, I can stop. Usually just getting out of the house is the hardest part.) Running is a great way to do some thinking and clear your head. And very rarely do I get back from a run and not feel better than when I started
Hugs!

If you don't feel like running 3 miles, how does a walk sound? It's not as strenuous, but I always tend to feel better after I just get moving for a bit.
I didn't work out much pre-pregnancy in the last year or so, though I used to run a bit. Now I'm telling myself that I can walk on the treadmill, but at an incline, and that counts as good exercise. It does get my heart rate up a bit, but doesn't feel as hard to motivate myself to do it. My alternate is walking outside, but the weather hasn't been awesome the past few days.
And if you're working out 3-4 times a week, you can definitely take a break the other days.
