Reminds me of that old CSI episode where this woman needed blood to survive, so she killed people, stole their livers, dried them and made them into powders. She mixed them into smoothies.
::gag::
Ha, I totally know the episode you're talking about

I am so glad I missed that episode!
i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)
haha! I saw the title of this thread and immediately thought "Ohmygod. Are you supposed to *do* something with those? There is way too much about giving birth and motherhood that I still don't know!"
I have friend who is a doula and part of her services can include placenta encapsulation (making it into a pill). Before she does it, she makes a "tree of life" print with it using the blood left inside to give to the mother. Then she dries it out and makes it into a pill.
NMS at all. I just keep picturing that food dehydrator that used to be on infomercials years ago in her garage with a placenta inside. Her husband is apparently a very patient man because there is no way DH would let that go down at our house.
Re: So, what are you doing with your placenta?

Another baby grows from the ground.
HAHA. Wouldn't that be awesome? It'd be a lot easier if you only had to push out the one.

You grow a garden of babies, duh.

The hospital will be disposing of my placenta. No placenta tree for us.
