I'm so fed up with time warner. I HATE that they make it impossible to cancel one service and just pay for the stuff you use. I just want a basic cable plan and internet.
But for only $10 month I might as well get the phone and the digital package or whatever they offer. Its so annoying. I have called all the time to try to reduce our bill or downgrade something and it feels like I am stuck paying the stupid $150 a month.
Does anyone do anything differently? Besides cutting cable completely?
Re: Cable/internet options? Only time warner?
We use to have AT&T (Uverse) but DH works from home and is an internet "power user". We would pay for ugraded speed, but didn't really get it. We get better speeds with Time Warner without paying extra. AT&T also gave us the run around about wanting a static IP address, blah, blah, blah.
Having said that, Uverse otherwise seemed fine and my sister has had a good experience with it. So unless you are a heavy internet user, you shouldn't have a problem.
There is also Dish Network, but I HAVE heard about bad experiences with that.
