I have a question, is there anyone else on here that has had a c-section that they had to make the vertical incision in the uterus as well as the horizontal? I did and they told me because I had to have the second inscision that I would never have a normal delivery afterwards. They told me that it was a possibility that I would have to have the second inscision depending on how DD was sitting and they couldnt get a good hold on her so thats why they did it, the doctor said her head was really big and it didnt want to come out. I am just feeling kind of sad because I wanted a natural birth for at least one child. Should I just realize that it probably wont happen because of the nature of my 1st delivery or seek a second opinion? and has anyone had the second insicion and had a vaginal delivery the second time around?
Thanks sorry its long,
Kassie

I have a friend who had a classic c/s (that is the vertical incision). She had it with her second pregnancy, which was twins. Then she had baby #4 in a hospital VBAC. Then the hospital changed their policy on allowing a trial of labor for women with classic c. She had her 5th and 6th baby unassisted at home. I would never do it, but the babies are healthy and happy.
My point is...it is possible but it could be an uphill battle finding a doctor who will do it.
Thats what I pretty much figured, they tried to do it with out making the vertical but DD was just not coming out like she was supposed to.
