This was posted yesterday on 6-9.. which is mainly where I post... but I want to hear yours too
Mine are:
1. PPl that go into chatzy and never talk.. taking up space and not allowing someone to come in that WILL talk.
2. PPL that ask to vote for their child. It's annoying, sorry.
3. When someone asks a question and ppl respond with, "well the decision is up to you".. No sh!t sherlock
Ok.. What are yours?
Re: Bump Pet Peeves... (stolen from 6-9)
the votes thing too
people always posting about there LO's STTN
or their LO's rolling over
i get that they are excited but do they ever think about the other mamma's that are worried that their child is behind because he isnt STTN or rolling over
I agree with the asking for people to vote for your child.
Dont know why, but for some reason introduction posts have always bothered me.
Spelling and grammar! This includes "text talk". It bothers the friggin crap out of me.
I agree with the voting for their child threads. On another forum I belong to, this happens at least 3 times a day. Go away Gerber!
This! If you're brand new to TB, ok. If you're just moving up to the next board, please refrain. You're with the same people all through the tri boards and then the month boards. People know who you are.
this too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! <---lol done for effect, of course
Oh gosh, the posts that turn into a big competition!
For example, mopsie posted a while back asking how much our DH's helped... Of course there had to be like 3 girls who were like "Oh my, if my DH didnt help as much as he did, I'd sit him down and tell him that he needs to". Oh whatever, your DH's arent sugar and rainbows, chill it with the perfect silhouette. I'm sure your DH poops, just like the rest of ours.
Mainly posts that go like that. Where someone is saying that their _____ is way better than yours and if theirs sucked like yours they'd jump off a bridge.
Spare me.
The "I'm a bad mom" posts.
The posts involving feeding LOs rice cereal to make them STTN.
Posts bragging about their LOs STTN.
Posts written in text-speak. Is it really that much of an effort to spell out "to" and "be"?
Posts that are just meant to be rude or snarky....and there's also a lot of a$$-kissing of a couple of select snarky Bumpies going on as well.
I must be in a bad mood today!
1. All the AWing, I know some people respond to them, but to me, its not a big deal to know if an internet strangers kid is rolling, sitting, sttn etc. I will talk to family and AW that kind of stuff, but not to internet strangers. Pics are cute when they are themed etc. but those who are constantly awing pics are annoying too. I ignore the posts, but I still see them.
2. Badges, who gives a $hit if your baby is bald, tall, hairy, small, sttn, or if you are a wahm/sahm or CD. The only badges that have a point to have in your siggy are FF/BF since it may affect an answer to questions you ask, and honestly thats the only one I can think of. I swear people think the more badges they have the more accomplished they are or something, this isn't the girlscouts!
3. I'm not one to look back several pages to see if someone posted a question I have, but I will always at least look at the current page, and usually page 2. When people post questions, and the same one is asked on the same page, its annoying.
ETA: #4. Kind of goes w/the AW thing: Intros!! Do you really need to intro yourself into every.single.board!!?? I can see doing an intro in 1st tri, and in 0-3 and that's it. Even then I think intros are lame, all you have to do is start posting and people will notice you've arrived if they care.
A kiss he will never forget- Disney World 2014
Argh, both of these. The Batman one is older than my great-great-great aunt's toe jam, and overly-snarky doesn't prove you're clever... no, it just proves you're an unhappy douche.
The butt-suctioning makes me teh sicks. Ugh!
I hate when I post pictures of my kid and no one makes comments on how cute he is. But another bumpie can put their kids picture up and get all kinds of nice comments.
DAMN!

THIS!!
*and people who, instead of helping you are VERY rude and tell you that your question has been asked before. Ok, well here's a little insight...I get on here if I need help. I've even had people tell me to go look at the 1-3 mo or 6-9 mo board to find my answers...ummm no, I have a 4 month old and want to ask it HERE!
TYVM!
Rant...DONE!

FTW!
Hudson is too cute, Avid!
I agree, as well as when responses get to be "who can come up with the best mean comment" to a post. People come from all walks of life here, you're going to see posts that you think are ridiculous, stop using them so that you can release your inner ***/bully (or outer I suppose since some probably don't hide it IRL). I can get responding to a post that is really offensive, but its internet strangers...chances are you're not going to change who they are so just ignore them and don't waste your time responding.
I also agree about the @ss-kissingof some bumpies, and they absolutely love it and behave as if they are the leader of the "mean girls" or some $hit.
Ahhh! Thanks! You made my day, actually my entire week!

Classic... That's just classic!
Yeah, I'm too lazy to click all over the board, and a good, long cofnession post is fun to read over my 9:00 a.m. popcorn!
I mean it.
I actually saw his pic earlier today and thought how freakin' cute he was--I was too lazy to comment.
*slaps own hand*
Ha! I love this post.
I have a few pet peeves with The Bump:
- Those that act as if they are Mother of the Year. You know, the "OMG, you actually walked out of the room while your LO slept in her swing?! HOW DARE YOU!?" ladies.
- Snarky Bump Addicts. The chicks who, I'm almost positive, live on here. It is obviously their job to reply to EVERY single question and it's usually not in a very pleasant manner.
- The Bump "Lingo". I know the basics, I guess, and try to use them. But I hate having to refer to the "glossary" to understand a post about how you had a BFP in the MIA and you will never let your DD CIO when your MIL is on her LMP. Haha...
-Dumb questions. Most questions I read on here are GOOD questions, and it's useful because they are often questions that I have. But you don't need to ask if you should leave your 3 month old home alone while you run to the grocery store. (I have never actually read that, but you get where I'm going!)

I don't want to hear about how you are at or lower or even close to your pre-preg weight. I don't care that you lost your weight and your clothes still don't fit. I eat healthy, walk all the time and am still 20 lbs over my pre-preg weight. Oh and I only gained like 30 some odd pounds. I just can't take it.
Also when we were preg and the stay at home not even a mom yets would complain about not having enough time to do things, I almost lost it many many times.
And when the AP moms are all sorts of condescending to people who don't agree with them, I sometimes have to turn off the bump for the rest of the day. I don't agree with your parenting style, but I don't crap all over you every chance I get. If someone asks for help with their schedule, don't tell them not to have one. They didn't ask if they should have one or not, they asked how to make it work. I am glad your life works without one, but mine doesn't and that doesn't make me a bad parent. It means I am doing what is best for me and my family and shut it.
Yea, this one annoys me too. Its another AW thing in my opinion, whats more annoying is that the opinions posted are not at all unpopular or controversial usually, its always the popular opinion, but people just want to say it anyways since its probably a thought they had that week. Same with the FFFC's, they are just random statements about what someone did or thought that week that is in no way flamable.
I can totally see how the 40 million posts can get annoying, but I find it annoying when they're all in one. Then if you're late to the party, you have PAGES to go through and by the time you get to the end, everyone is done posting. I can admit its a little bit of an AW thing, but really. I hate scrolling through the pages to find one to comment on. Once I find one to comment on, someone else has said something and the convo has already progressed, and I'm two thoughts back from where everyone else is. Its a hassle to keep up with everyones in one post.
I agree! He's a cutie patotie...and he has an awesome birthday
I hate the blanket "at what age should I stop/start/insertverbhere" posts. I don't know when you should stop using your exercauser. Stop when you think he/she isn't enjoying it anymore or when he/she exceeds the weight limit. Some people on this board lack the ability to think about anything for themselves. I don't know how they manage to get dressed in the morning without polling the board.
This! Especially when it is no where close to being TMI
OMG, I just read all of that...finally something truely TMI
TB ladies that are in little cliques. It's not such a bad thing sometimes, but more often it just turns into them acting like they control the board. Ok I get it you weren't homecoming queen in HS.
People who get upset with 'newbies' posting. Not all of us are morons and we do know how to use a message board. For me not to be a 'newbie' I need to post, and you were once a 'newbie' too. It just makes no sense to me.
This.
Snarky Bump Addicts.- I don't understand how they are on The Bump so much?
I hate to whole LO, DH, DS ugh I hate when I read post like example DH took LO, DS and SS to MIL house so I can read this book about CIO and FIL made a comment to DH about letting LO CIO and FF babies. I have to read it twice just to understand.
I think they should make a board called " I'm a Snatch " so that all the snarky people can post there and the ass kissers can go straight to their post.
I was thinking the same thing! I hate the "batman" thing, I don't understand it.
And, "DH, DD, DS" I refuse to use those abbreviations, I can't them.
When you post a question or something and the reply is "But why are you doing that? The AAP recommends... blah, blah, blah" without actually answering the question
... because I am a grown-up and the parent and I used my parent card to make this decision for my child! And I'm sure your poop smells like roses.
