They contacted me and asked if I would share my TTC story on their website. I said sure and wrote out a quick, essentially unedited version for them to review. I assumed they would clean it up, but, they didn't, other than to add some titles, so, it reads really choppy and unrefined, not how I usually write, but, oh well.
They also asked me to submit pics so I sent them some of mine and some that our photographer had taken and asked them to credit her. Interesting, they didn't use any of hers! They certainly are better pics than the ones they used. Again, oh well.
I'm glad that they see value in showing some difficult TTC stories and not just the fun and easy ones!
Re: The Bump published my TTC story
That's wonderful. Wow, they actually sought YOU out? Guess that shows you the nest gods are paying attention to us on these boards!
I love this quote - it's exactly how we feel about Cal:
Now that I'm on the other side, I can tell you that I am so very grateful for every step of our journey because each brought me closer to my daughter. Had we been successful in an earlier cycle, I wouldn't have HER. Had we done DE earlier, I wouldn't have HER. And I can't imagine my life without her!!!
LO #1 - 1 unmedicated/self-monitored IUI w/ donor sperm.
LO #2 - 1 m/c, 2 BFNs, 4th IUI worked (unmedicated/self-monitored with new donor sperm).
Life is beautiful!
Agree! BTW, did they tell you when they put it up, or did they just do it? I submitted our preemie story and haven't heard back in a while.
They didn't. I just remembered last night and went and checked and it was there, dated a couple of weeks ago. If I remember correctly, it was probably around the beginning of October that they contacted me.

I love that quote, too! Glad they published your story!
Because we're fancy like that.
