First of all, I had to change my username for some personal reasons...I'm Laura.
I had a hard time after the m/c coming around here and all that...but (for now) I'm one of the lucky ones. I'm PREGNANT. By my calculations, EDD is June 12, currently 7w0d. For now, I'm pregnant and excited. I always just have to wait and see what tomorrow brings.
I thought it was all over on Friday...I was in a horrible amount of pain (I couldn't even walk, couldn't lay down, couldn't do anything), and was spotting. DH took me to the ER. My OB nurses thought that with the pain I was in, it was likely ectopic. Instead, I have a 1-2 inch cyst on my ovary. We got to see the peanut, got to see the heartbeat, we both cried. It was unreal....I really really really hope this one sticks around.
We're waiting to tell family for a while still, and I tried to wait to tell you ladies until after I told them, but after the weekend I had...I just can't stay away for that long. I love you too much, and I love the support network here.
Re: Okay, I've held out longer than I can stand...
Laura, Laura, Laura!!!!! Oh my gosh, I'm so happy for you!!
I know what a hard time you had after your M/C and it's so wonderful that you're pregnant again so soon.
Take everything day by day. Know we're always here for you and I know we're all SO excited for you!
Congratulations!!!!
ETA: What's the status with the cyst? Will the doctors do anything for it? (I know nothing about cysts during pregnancy.)

Laura, I am crying as I write this, because that is the exact same way I found out I was pregnant with Elizabeth. Severe Abdominal pain R hand side...followed by the u/s tech telling me I was PG. This just brought back a flood of memories.
I am so happy for you both. I agree w/ Katy, take it one day at a time, and enjoy each day so much.
I have missed you a lot too. We are all always here for you and welcome home.

Hey, and welcome! Congrats on being PG - sometimes you really do just have to take it one day at a time and that's okay. I wanted to try to give you a little reassurance - my whole getting pregnant/finding out I was pregnant story was nuts (it's in my blog at the very beginning of all the posts). My new doctor that I saw for my first pregnant visit did an ultrasound and asked if I knew that my left ovary is covered in cysts - her words. I didn't, but had a cyst burst from that side last fall and my previous doctor didn't really do anything to help the situation, including an ultrasound to let me know any of this or that I have a fibroid on my uterus. So far, I've had a perfectly healthy pregnancy, and am thrilled now at the upcoming arrival.
Vibes for you and a ::sticky baby:: to have a great, healthy pregnancy. Congrats!
They're going to monitor it for a while. The ER doctor thought it was a corpeus luteum cyst, and usually they just shrink back on their own, but not in my case...so, I'll find out more tomorrow when I go see my OB (who, BTW, CALLED ME Friday afternoon unprompted when he saw the info from the ER and wanted to see me asap...I heart him)
Laura, I am so happy for you. We love you too. I hope you have a happy and healthy 9 months. Ian's bday is June 11, I love June birthdays.

a) Congrats! Wishing you a healthy and happy 9 months!
b) Glad to hear that they think its probably the corpeus luteum type. I had one before I got pregnant and while annoying it did resolve on its own about a month or so after we found it. So it was only around a few months total. I'm curious what will happen with the pregnancy hormones but a friend of mine with a history of cyst thought she had one about the point when you found out about yours and they told her that they would just monitor her. Come to find out it was just her body adjusting to the pregnancy and the pains were similar (confirmed by ultrasound of course).
c) Glad to hear your OB called after the ER visit. Always a good sign and that way you don't have to worry about if & when you should call them.
Congrats Laura!!! Here is to a h&h 9 months! Sending you tons of sticky dust!!!
