Babies: 0 - 3 Months

PNP question (changing station)

I am due in two weeks and we are getting everything ready. We just set up the PNP next to my side of the bed and it looks great. I can't believe there will be a baby in there soon!

My question is...do we have to remove the changing station when the baby is sleeping in the bassinet part of the PNP or can we leave it there? It seems like it would be a pain to move it back and forth but I want to do what is best.

Thank you!

Re: PNP question (changing station)

  • We left the changing table on however we recently removed it b/c LO is getting heavy enough to weigh down the unsupported side of the changer.

  • I take ours off for max air flow but I dont know if I *have* too, or if its recommended in general or not.

  • I leave it on. He sleeps perfectly well. I have found that the mobile gets in the way when trying to pull him out.
  • I leave the changing table on but I took off the mobile. It was too hard to get DS in and out with both of them on.

  • We left it on. It serves more as a shelf than a changing table for us, though. The mobile on ours pivots, so it's not in the way either. We have the "Lil Hoots" PNP.

  • We leave it on, but are probably going to remove it soon since he's getting too heavy for it.  As for the mobile, ours pivots so I can easily move it when I want to pick him up.
  • We're using one like that now. We have left the changing station on, but fold it back when not in use. It's really no biggie at all. We love how convenient it is.
