I wouldn't call it a babymoon, but we are talking about going to Vegas maybe in January. We haven't been in 3 years and I'm dying to get back out there.

We are thinking of doing one. I was researching some tropical all inclusives last night, and the prices were pretty high since we'd need to go between Christmas and new years (i work in a school, so have very little flexible leave). I'm going to research more, but I'll be interested in seeing what others have to say.

I think we will take a weekend trip somewhere but I want to save up my vacation so I can have a longer maternity leave or take off a couple weeks before baby comes.

We planned this trip way before we were pregnant... but my friend is getting married in Cancun in Feb. plus Sandals had given us 3 free nights at any resort so we are going to Sandals in Jamaica for 3 nights then heading to her wedding in Cancun for 4 nights from there. I'm so excited!! And... I finally told her (my friend, the bride) I'm pregnant and she was happy and excited and ok with having a fatty up there beside her Wink

We are going away the week after Thanksgiving to St Martin with my family. I would like to go away again, just the two of us, in February or March, but MH isn't sure he wants to spend the money on another vacation. So I've got some convincing to do!

awww haha, in February luckily we'll only be like 21-22 wks... and i've been facestalking my FB friends bump pics around that time and luckily they mostly all had cute little bumps that weren't even super noticeable. Unfortunately for me my torso is super short (I'm super short in general haha, 5 ft) so I'm thinking I might be a little ahem, wider, than most ppl at that stage.

We've talked about moving up our yearly Tahoe trip to the spring so that we have one last hurrah before June. We like to go out of town for long weekends on a regular basis...we live in Vegas and try to escape this place as often as we can! (so yes, I did lol at Gymnast wanting to come back to Vegas to visit before her LO arrives!)

We're leaving next Friday to spend 10 days in western NC in a cabin. We love hiking there. This trip was planned before I got pregnant but it will be a great getaway! I don't know if we'll take another big trip before the baby is born; haven't thought that far ahead yet.

We will be going to Vegas for a few days in Novemeber and then Maui for 10 days in February. It will be a "babymoon" my birthday and our anniversary all in one!

We are going to Disney World for Thanskgiving (planned before the pregnancy). And we've been researching Puerto Rico. It's olnly a 3hr flight from ATL. DH would also love to go on a cruise but I'm nervous about having extreme nausea or m/s

I have joked with MH about taking me on a babymoon before we were even pregnant! I think it's really important to take that time with your SO becuase it's the last time it will be just the two of you. We would love to go on one but MH just started a new job and is technically not eligible for paid vaca until next September. He will probably take 1-2 weeks of unpaid time when the baby comes so we don't really want to have him take more unpaid time for a trip. With that being said, we still want to fit in a extended long weekend at some point somewhere close....maybe Florida or Bermuda.

AAahhhhhhh....if only we had unlimited vacation time and unlimited funds!

I've considered a cruise. It's still up in th air though. I don't get paid maternity leave at all and plan on taking 12 weeks so I have to decide if it's an ok decision while still leaving us comfortable while I am out of work.

DH and I went to New Orleans for a week when I was pregnant with DD1. It was the first time I went there to relax as I had only been there for Mardi Gras before. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

We leave for a cruise next Sunday with the entire fam. Obviously planned before we found out this time. I don't want to tell anyone this early so it will be an experience trying to hide it from my family.

GO! DO IT! Do not even think twice. Before DS we went to the Florida Keys and it was great. We actually booked it before I found out I was pregnant b/c we were a little bummed it was taking some time. So, it ended up being a babymoon. Best thing we did. Enjoy that time b/c even if you have sitters out the wazoo (which we don't), that freedom is like nothing else!!

I'm 5'9", so hopefully that will save me! Luckily, I ordered an extra yard and a half of fabric with the dress just in case! And thank god, it has a lace up back. haha

I told DHs family we would be back in February to see them in the Dominican Republic. Luckily, some friends here want us to go with to their time share in Punta Cana. Then we can visit all of his family for a day and his mom can come stay with us at the resort for a little bit. I don't know how I'd be at his mom's house that doesn't always have water and electricity and no ac at 6 months pregnant.

We actually already have a Cayman Islands trip planned the first part of December! So that will be our babymoon! Second child but first Babymoon. I can't wait!

Definitely want to take one. It'll probably be a small, shorter trip because we really need to save money to keep working on the house before LO arrives, but we want to take a nice vacation for sure.

And I'm glad you guys all know the true meaning of "babymoon." My BIL and his wife thinks a babymoon is what you do when you go on vacation for the sole purpose of trying to MAKE a baby. (Good look planning your vacation around the exact week you'll be ovulating, unless you're super regular.) I told H to tell his brother that a babymoon is a vacation you take when you're already pregnant but I think they disagree.

we are taking one....only because it is our honeymoon! we are going to an all inclusive resort in Jamaica, we leave Nov 8th!!!!!

oh and for all of you ladies think about a cruise, make sure it is one with a doctor on board ( just incase) I read somewhere that alot of ships dont have a doctor on board and most doctors wont clear you for the trip if there isnt one

We were already going a 5 day cruise after Christmas (our official honeymoon, and vacation), which is becoming our babymoon. We're also going to the mountains in TN for our anniversary....so make that two moons.
