Question about Army AIT

My husband is finishing his AIT at Ft. Sill, OK, and he only has until November 10th. So, that's a little over two weeks left.. And he still hasn't gotten his orders on where his next duty station is? How soon before graduation do they normally get their orders on their next duty station?

    they can wait til after graduation sadly...have you checked his ASK in his AKO?

    Most people start getting them about 2 weeks out.  PP is right, there are some people who are held over and don't get orders until after grad.  He should know something soon, though.

    I check it everyday.. lol and there's still no change. I was really hoping we would know soon, especially since i'm 37 weeks, and we'd like to give our families a little heads up on where we'll be going..

    My DH got his orders after his hometown recruiting - an option some get after AIT.  So like the pp said, it can be after AIT or near the very end.

    Hopefully he will get an assignment that is CONUS or command sponsored OCONUS...my DH got Korea and that wasn't - bummer!

    This was my DH's situation too when he was in AIT.
