Hello all. Andy, myself, Isa and Mario just arrived home from Isaac's memorial. I will only write a few things, as I am sure Stacy will write in her blog about it. I do not know if there were any other nesties there, but we did not get a chance to speak with all.
Simple, elegant, heartfelt, beautiful, touching, and peaceful are the words I have. The programs are beautiful, with Isaac's precious footprints on them. All felt so welcome in the place it was held, a small Maryland town in a lovely, open, community church with the winding road and fall colors all around. There were pregnant women, husbands, friends, family members, small children--all were welcome. Stacy and Spencer seem to draw strength from places other people would find difficult, and do it with such grace.
Stacy read a letter to Isaac that completely blew everyone away. There was music, an unbelievable slideshow of Stacy and Spencer with Isaac which was filled with so much love, I thought my own heart would burst.
Stacy, Spencer and their family is 100 times more beautiful and courageous than her blog can convey. No matter your faith, this memorial was so filled with sorrow, hope and love that there was not a dry eye. Their family and friends, as well as themselves, hosted a lovely meal for everyone afterwards, with a room filled with blue balloons, catered food, and gerbera daisies.
Stacy has so much grit it is unfathonable. She is a true steel magnolia.
If anyone could not make it--please send them your good thoughts and prayers. Also remember, on her blog, anyone can contribute to Isaac's playground.
Stacy, if you read this, it felt so good to get to hug you. My family will always be here to support you and pray for you. Thank you for the people you and Spencer are. Your memorial to Isaac was quite possibly the most beautiful and touching thing I have ever seen. Andy, who does not show much emotion, cried every kind of tears through the heartfelt ceremony. May you all be at peace. All the love I have, Jill
Re: XP ISAAC TIMOTHY DELISLE's MEMORIAL
Jill,
Thanks so much for sharing the memorial. ?What you wrote is very touching and I bet it doesn't even begin to describe it. ?Stacy, Spencer and Isaac were definitely in my thoughts and prayers today.?
