brideonjuly8 & anyone else interested...

Lets go running! My 6 weeks is about up and I told myself when that hits I'm getting my old "workout self" back. I LOVE the feeling of accomplishing my running goals but stopped when we were TTC and during pregnancy. DH is way ahead of me now and I'm ready to catch up (and get ahead!).

I have to fight myself to get out there when I'm running solo and love the accountability of a running partner. P lake, nestie running group - you interested?

  • I'm interested once I can run faster than Kate.  :)  I would love to have a running partner once I'm in good enough shape to have a running partner.  I would just slow you guys down right now.

  • Me.  I try and run but I go running about once a week because DH will offer to watch DS and I just feel guilty doing that to him because I know he's burnt out.  Anyway, if I can bring DS in the Bob I'd totally be up for joining a running group.
  • Hey woman! I'm meeting Froggi @ 8 a.m. tomorrow morning to walk around the lake if you want to join us...no running, but a solid 5k walk if you're up for it. :)
    Dear Bump: You suck.
  • That sounds awesome!  But I kinda didn't think about this- I'm SUPER slow.  Like, you could probably walk at my pace.  I'd love to try it though!  I love walking also, so if you want to walk or jog/walk I'd be down for that too.
  • I would be up for a walking group because I'm not at the jogging point yet.

Dude, I wish I would have known it was 5k before I started walking around the lake. A couple Saturdays ago I was there for a bootcamp. I didn't see the group so DD and I started walking around. I figured people were running late and I would do a quick lap and see if they were there when I was done. Ha! DD kept asking me if it was almost over. When I saw the mile markers I knew it was probably 3 miles around. At the 2 mile mark I ran into the bootcamp group. I just went to the wrong place. I finished the bootcamp and then did the last mile.
  • Here is another idea, I have a friend who has is a personal trainer. He holds bootcamps up in PF. I could probably arrange for him to have a bootcamp for us on Saturday mornings. He charges 15-20 for a single bootcamp.
  • rssn -yes I'm interested! That may be the time that dh and i go do S&P. Let me double check with him and if it's not then I'm good to go ;)

A walking group? Yes! I'm down. Running...I don't think my feet remember how to do that just yet...

Boot camp? Yes! (w/ a scared look)
