Jack just had a seizure :(

Our smallest beagle has seasonal epilepsy and just had one. It's heartbreaking to watch and then he's so sore and worn out the rest of the night. Luckily these weren't as violent as they've been before. He's laying with me now recovering.

    I'm sorry to hear that this happened. I'm sure it can't be easy to watch. Hopefully he feels better in the morning.

    Aww when I lived in Indiana we had a girl full blooded beagle. And around Christmas she was coming home [she got away] and right in front of our house she got hit. I was in 7th grade and I was devastated. I got sent home because I was crying so much. She loved to get on the bed and snuggle under the sheets at my feet. :( .

    They are definitely no fun and very exhausting and scary.  I hope he is ok.  Can they give him seizure meds?

    He doesn't have them often enough to be medicated. He only has 4-5 spells a year when the weather changes or there's a crazy storm. His body can't take the change in temp and air pressure.

    Poor guy. My mom's dog Cosmo has epilepsy, and the seizures just rip your heart out.

    I hope he feels better soon. Lots of hugs and snuggles to Jack.

    Oh my, that must be so horrible to see. When my dog has coughing/sneezing fits, I just stand by helplessly feeling really sorry for him, and those are really nothing! Poor pup. Give him lots of love!
