It's my turn to get effed by the universe.  I went for my study screening this morning and I have 2 (&)(@#&% cysts on my right ovary.  My nurse was so nice, but she said I have a "very slim" chance of being accepted into the study.  I think if the cysts were less than 11mm I could get in, but they were 24 and 19. 

Now I guess we still do IVF, but I have to pay for it.  The money part sucks, but I'm really more worried about how long I have to wait now before I can start.  I think I have to take BCP to shrink the cysts and I have actually never been on the pill before so I'm definitely not looking forward to that.

So I'm pretty devastated.  I guess we'll try on our own until I can get my new plan from the RE.  I really can't take much more of this.  Thanks for all of the good wishes the other day.

    Thanks - I'm really hoping that I'm perfect in all other areas and they let this slide.  The nurse wasn't really optimistic though.

    Stupid cysts! WTF?! I hope they disappear quickly so that you can slip into the study.

    I'm pretty sure that they are just going to reject me - it doesn't matter if they go away.  Sounds like it's a one shot deal to get in.

    This is okay. I hear wine is good for cysts, getting knocked up, and anything else that hurts you. I used it to treat OHSS.

    That's good to know...maybe I'll just stay drunk for the next 30 or so days and miraculously get a BFP on my own.  DH won't mind if I'm passed during FWP right?

    arggg! That sucks!

    If the cysts go away in the future, would they still let you into the study, or is this a "very limited time offer" only?

    ETA: just read the replies. I'm so sorry. Hopefully an other study opens up near you in the future.

    oh no! I am so sad to see this update for you. I hope they over look this - if not, any chance you can be re-evaluated another cycle?

    I'm so sorry.  That really sucks.  Why can't our bodies cooperate when it really matters!  I'm glad you'll still do IVF but sorry you're probably going to be paying for it.  I guess this study is only going for this month?  Like you can't sit out a month and start a month later?

    Crap, that is a bummer.  I hope you can still get through and participate so you don't have to pay all that money.  It is hard to fork over all that dough, but hopefully either way you will have a successful IVF and it will all be worth it!
