We very rarely have meat, and usually it's bacon.. which is what I found in the back of the freezer. I have no idea when it's from, but I forget everything these days, and my bf is always forgetful.. so.. it could either be from 2 weeks ago [yes, my brain is THAT bad right now..] or 2 months ago.
The date says "Prepare or Freeze by October 2010".. but now what? How long is it good for?
How long do you usually keep food in the freezer, anyway? I'm [obviously] not very experienced in anything freezer-related. We usually just buy a little bit of groceries then get more when we run out. Our freezer just has ice and ice cream. haha Sometimes bread, but not often.
Re: How long does meat last in the freezer?
I think that with bacon, still sealed in the package, I'd say you're good for at least a few months.
The question really is... HOW on EARTH has bacon survived in your house so long that you've forgotten about it?
THIS WAS MY FIRST QUESTION!
Holy smokes.. You have no idea how creepily happy I was when I found it. Especially since I wanted bacon, but I'm not feeling up to grocery shopping today.. and then I FIND BACON? WHAT?! I think it's just fate.
