DH just turned 10 months .. she has been here 3 days per week with a nanny (college student) and home with me the other 2 days for about 4 months.
Next month I'm starting a full time position where she will need to go to daycare 2 days per week (Tues/Thurs). I love the center we found, her teacher is great.. I'm looking for advice on the transition between her home and daycare days.. at home her naps are "as needed" (not at the same time every day) and she has been awakening at 8am (she'll need to be up earlier on daycare days). Has anyone done this? Should I try to move her bedtime so that she's up earlier everyday? She's kind of a strongwilled kid, moving bedtime could be a challenge..
Any thoughts or advice much appreciated, thanks ladies!
Re: Advice: Starting Daycare 2 days/wk; Home with Nanny 3 days/wk
I would also suggest that you start practicing the earlier wake up time maybe a week or two before she has to go.
I have been taking intermitten FMLA after my 10-weeks off, so I have been working 3 days/week and staying home w/ DD on the other two. I have tried to keep her kind of awake and active during the normal time that I get her ready to DC in those 2 days (including weekend) just to be consistent.
